Electroweak Phase Transition in a Complex-Singlet-Scalar Extension with a New-Physics Suppression Mechanism
With the discovery of the Higgs boson, the Standard Model reached a tentative completion, yet phenomena such as the identity of dark matter and the baryon asymmetry lie beyond the Standard Model, making extensions indispensable. In a degenerate-scalar scenario endowed with a new-physics suppression mechanism, we discuss the feasibility of a first-order electroweak phase transition required for baryogenesis.
