Dark matter particles lighter than the MeV scale were long thought to be difficult to verify in direct detection experiments. In recent years, however, it has become clear that scattering with cosmic rays can boost such particles, extending the accessible mass range to regions previously considered unreachable. Because boosted light dark matter arrives at Earth from the direction of the galactic center, detecting the incoming direction is expected to capture a characteristic signal. This research discusses directional verification using direct detection experiments with directional sensitivity, and the dark matter physics implied by such signatures.
