An Invitation to Flavor Physics — Clues for Exploring New Particle Theories

Date
November 17, 2022 (Thu) 16:35〜18:05
Speaker
Megumi Yamamoto (Hiroshima Institute of Technology)

Most particle physics experiments are well described by the Standard Model, yet many mysteries remain: the hierarchy of quark and lepton masses, why coupling strengths are hierarchical, and why there are three generations. This talk introduces flavor physics as a promising avenue for uncovering hints of physics beyond the Standard Model.
